I’ll admit right off that you’ll probably find a lot of poopy books along the way, but if you want to get some nifty and fresh science fiction, check out what’s going on in the kindle bookstore.
Just in case you don’t know this, you don’t actually need the Kindle DEVICE to access Kindle books. I run the app on my Android phone and on my Macbook laptop. You can get the app for pretty much any platform. I even run it on my Nook. Yep, I have a Barnes and Noble device running the Amazon app, also.
Sci Fi Is Thriving in Kindle
What’s going on is interesting. Because anyone can publish to Kindle using their Kindle Direct Publishing platform, you’re not relegated to books that publishers have taken the risk to produce. That means there’s tons more interesting stuff being published direct for your viewing, instead of just the opinions of a few gate keepers.
Tons and tons of new books come out daily because of this.
You’ve got to kiss a lot of frogs to find your prince(ss). Either way, though, I can tell you that there are some amazing and fun stories being hatched there.
Oh, and not just sci fi. Superhero, fantasy, horror. Holy cats, there are some great zombie world books, if that’s your thing.
